Le Prince Maurice is a new generation of 5 star de luxe hotels offering the tranquility, service and privacy sought by the most demanding clientele. It is the only Relais and Chateaux Hotel in Mauritius.

Eschewing the ostentatiousness favoured by many five star hotels, Le Prince Maurice has been designed with a simplicity and clarity to the eye, but with the luxury of natural materials which harmonise with the surrounding environment.

This luxurious five-star hotel is set within 60 hectares of unspoilt land, amidst rare and luxuriant vegetation. An isolated peninsula surrounded by white sand beaches and a calm lagoon, brings to guests a unique emotion, an experience where spicy aromas blend with the perfume of the warm ocean.

Many of the suites are built on stilts overlooking a natural fish reserve.

Junior Suites there are 76 JUNIOR SUITES  each 70 m² surface area
In buildings of a maximum of 8 suites with thatch roof, 68 on either ground floor or first floor and 8 on stilts on a natural fish reserve. They comprise of one bedroom with a sitting area indoors and a terrace or balcony, one bathroom with double vanities, separate shower, wc and bath. Junior Suites with connecting corridors are available.

The12 Senior Suites comprise of 130 Sq M surface area, of private bungalow with thatch roof, a private living room with dining/sitting area with adjacent shower/wc, one bedroom and main bathroom with double vanities, separate shower and wc, walk-in closet, outdoor soaking bath, and terrace. Nine Senior Suites are on ground floor level with a private swimming pool and direct access to the beach, and 3 are on stilts.

The magnificent Princely Suite is 350 m² surface area
The suite comprises of two junior suites and one senior suite. Inside garden/patio, guests wc, mini kitchen for staff use, terrace/dining area and two swimming pools. Located directly on the beach in a secluded part of the hotel grounds that offer utmost privacy, the Princely Suite also benefits from three individual terraces each facing a different part of the lagoon. Facilities

Facilities in the Hotel include a Health & Fitness Centre managed by The Guerlain Institute, which reflects the hotel style and ambience, and offers a wide range of sports and health facilities from 08 Hr 00 to 22 Hr 00. Free facilities include Swimming pool with sun lounge chairs, air conditioned squash court, fully equipped gymnasium, jacuzzi & sauna, and aerobics & yoga; and payable activities consist of the beauty parlour & hair dresser, massage, steam bath, and body treatment.

The hotel provides a wide range of nautical and land sports and recreational facilities. Those free of charge include two tennis courts with flood lights & synthetic grass, water skiing, pedalos, snorkeling trips, windsurf boards, kayacks, laser boats, hobbie cat, glass bottom boat and golf putting green. Payable facilities are fly fishing, catamaran cruise, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, golf and tennis lessons.

The hotel library offers a wide range of books, compact disks, video compact disks and indoor games free of charge to the guests during their stay.

L'ARCHIPEL Restaurant

The main restaurant overlooks the pool and the beach. It is set up in three areas and two open air deck areas, thereby creating an intimate atmosphere. L'Archipel is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it offers an "a la carte" service with light gourmet food.

LE BARACHOIS Restaurant

Is located in a unique natural environment a short distance from the main building, and is surrounded by mangroves, this floating restaurant, unique of its kind, comprises of five islets seating a maximum of 40 people, and it overlooks a large natural fish reserve with an exceptional background mountain chain scenery. The sunset view on the Barachois is breathtaking. The French Chef uses his experience with the different cuisines of the world to create an eclectic range of mouthwatering dishes.

Sport Activities

The Belle Mare Plage 18 hole Golf Club is situated at 10 minutes drive from the hotel, and benefits from the status of "Championship Golf Course". A free shuttle service from and to the hotel is at the disposal of our Guests, as is free membership of the Club and complimentary use of the Course

Salt Water Fly-fishing

The Barachois (Natural Fish Reserve) offers a real treat to our guests who are fond of fly fishing.

The hotel provides all the necessary equipment as well as teaching facilities to those who wish to practice.
